I found your recipe in the Foodista cookbook. I'm not much of a baker but I decided to try this one for a friend's bday. It was really delicious! My bars came out fluffy and moist. Now everyone at my work is asking for the recipe and I'm planning on making loaf-sized versions as presents. Thanks for sharing :D

I sent these as a snack to school with my kindergartner. He gave one to his teacher and said "you need to sit down to eat it. It is so good, you might faint." I agree!

These are delicious! Another "fan" of yours made these and shared with us. They are so moist, almost cakey. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Thank you!

Perre, these are delicious! We have an apple tree at the lake and I have made two recipes for all the folks that traipse through here. They are really yummy with a cup of coffee for breakfast too!

It's so funny you talk about a red apple with the capilary veins that ran through the white flesh because I recently saw one at my grandparent's house. My uncle bit into the apple, and the flesh had several red places in it. We weren't sure if it were the apple that put Snow White to sleep or just a specific kind of apple. :)
