It’s that time again! I’ve put together my annual list of gifts for the food lover in your life (and that includes you)!  As always, these are just some personal favorites – no one has asked me to promote any products or compensated me in any way, though I earn a small commission from sales. Photos used are from the vendors. And for more gift ideas, check out my ShopMy storefront. And check out my Festive Finds here!

Let’s start things in the sweetest way with Dolly Parton themed chocolates! And I am crazy about Memphis’s own Shotwell Caramels. I also love Cacao and Cardamom Chocolates – I want to eat this gingerbread speculoos spread with a spoon! Be like Queen Elizabeth and choose Charbonel and Walker chocolates, in this case eggnog truffles.

A few years ago (even before Oprah), I recommended Carl the Snowman hot chocolate. Now you can get one mug Mini Carls that melt to make a delicious treat. Or for something a little different try this single origin cinnamon hot chocolate. If tea is well, more your cup of tea, you can’t go wrong with a Christmas blend from Fortnum and Mason. Or these herbal tea lollipops that melt into a lovely cuppa.

Pineapples are the symbol of hospitality so what a gesture to show up with one of these sweet Maui Golds. It’s easy to look for the new and exotic, but the classics stick around for a reason – like these Harry and David Royal Riviera pears. Dates stuffed and covered in chocolate are an indulgent sweet bite. Or surprise and delight folks with a mixed box of beautiful organic mixed fruit.

Create the prettiest snack or charcuterie board with these dried flower crackers. And amp it up with some mezcal and lime-tinged salami. Slightly sweet port-washed Sugar Plum Annelies alpine cheese is perfect for holiday cheeseboards. For emergencies, keep some Bougie Gougies frozen gougère cheese puffs in the fridge.

This colorful tin of three different pasta shapes makes a fun gift. And stir it up with some fabulous flavored butter (think Fishwife anchovy, truffle or pesto). Perk up your pizza with this pressed spicy pizza oil. This silky soy sauce is like the balsamic glaze of soy sauces, perfect for frozen dumplings.

The New York Times cooking app fanatic on your list will be thrilled with this extra good hamper from Ottolenghi, full of fascinating ingredients. And the foodiest of foodies will go wild for this NOMA Projects Flavor pack from the world of starry chef Rene Redzepi. Tinned fish is all the rage, and varieties from Chef Jose Andres, founder of relief organization World Central Kitchen, will impress the celebrity chef watcher. And while not a “food” find, this after cooking hand scrub will be a welcome gift for the kitchen impresario.

Mix up a spicy holiday cocktail with Gris Gris Cocktail Magic’s Jalapeno Hex syrup in a special holiday bottle (check out their other flavors too). When you need to relax during the crazy season, these one-the-go packets of Cann social tonicwill be there for you. Or just pop a can of New Orleans’ own Louie Louie CBD soda. Fennel seeds are an ancient Indian digestif to settle tummies, and these cheerful tins will make the morning after brighter.

Of course, the best gift is giving to others. Many families in communities all over the country are faced with ever more challenging issues of food insecurity. Our neighbors, our friends, our coworkers. Please consider donating to Feeding America, the country’s largest organization fighting hunger, or find your local food bank here and donate directly.

I'm P.C. I think I am like most people. Somewhere in the middle between food snob and food schlub. Just being in the kitchen makes me happy. I live, mostly in my kitchen, in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.
