It’s that time again! I’ve put together my annual list of gifts for the food lover in your life (and that includes you)!  As always, these are just some personal favorites – no one has asked me to promote any products or compensated me in any way, though I may earn a small commission from Amazon sales. Photos used are from the vendors. And for more gift ideas, check out my Amazon store. And check out  my Festive Finds here!

It’s the holiday season, so I think I will start with sweet gift ideas. Any lover of tiramisu will be thrilled with a jar of Crèma Tiramisu spread from Italy. Cacao and Cardamom chocolates are amazing, and they make a version of a viral Dubai chocolate bar that is sure to be a hit. Laduree is famous the world over for their macarons, but they also offer these decadent Eugenie treats which make a beautiful, interesting gift. Dried fruit and nuts never looked so good in these beautiful Laumiere bites. Gingersnap Toffee handmade in Tennessee is a treat. Or keep the gift going with a Dandelion Chocolates subscription.

Give the gift of cooking with tasty kits, like this Thai curry and soup bundle from Verve Culture. Or spice things up with this shakshuka kit from Villa Jerada. And everyone loves a pasta night, so make it easy with this pasta party by Big Night. Carolina Cooker put everything you need in this low country boil kit which makes a great way to entertain friends and family. And as winter closes in, gathering around a table with hearty cassoulet kit from D’Artganan is a great cozy night in.

Cocktail lovers are spoiled for choice with Runamok Maple’s mixer set. Or make it easy with a pre-rimmed Michelada party pack from Guelaguetza. And serve up the cocktails with some fantastic charcuterie from Spotted Trotter. Take bar snacks up a level with Mickey’s Tennessee Whiskey Caramel popcorn, made with Uncle Nearest.  These Memphis barbecue cashews may not be made in Memphis, but Pear’s Snacks totally got the assignments. If you know, you know – boil-in-the-bag peanuts are a stellar gift!

Cultured butter rolled in vanilla beans soaked in maple syrup? Yes please. Or how about a solid block of maple sugar that can be grated over pancakes, waffles and more. Or give highbush cranberry syrup made by the  Red Lake Band of Chippewa in Minnesota. For something spiced and special, add a hint of Gulab Jamun syrup to chai or drizzle it over desserts. And we know a little salt brings out the sweet, so how about a set of Saltery dessert salts, with chocolate, maple sugar and sprinkles.

Nothing could be more spectacular or special than a personalized loaf of Paris’s famous Poilane bread. And I’ll be honest, I am not 100% sure why you’d want to, but you can have a personalized message printed on a potato. Or have a bottle of their favorite spirit or wine engraved with a special message. A personalized bottle of estate olive oil makes a stunning gift.

Of course, the best gift is giving to others, so consider donations to organizations doing great work. Feeding America supports a network of food banks across the country. Click here to find your local food bank, or donate directly here.  The Lee Initiative, founded by Chef Edward Lee, has a restaurant worker relief fund. Chef Chris Sheppard’s Southern Smoke Foundation has turned its efforts to relief for food and beverage workers. World Central Kitchen created by Chef Jose Andres provides meals for those in need and jobs for restaurant workers, in addition to their regular mission of feeding people during natural disasters and emergencies.

I'm P.C. I think I am like most people. Somewhere in the middle between food snob and food schlub. Just being in the kitchen makes me happy. I live, mostly in my kitchen, in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.
